CTIT Symposium

“Creative IT”

Be Creative with Information Technology

Wednesday June 11, 2008

University of Twente, building Spiegel, room 2

Dear CTIT PhD student,

CTIT is proud of its PhD students. Therefore, each PhD student is invited to present a poster at the upcoming CTIT symposium on Wednesday 11 June. You can view the programme on the CTIT website at http://www.ctit.utwente.nl/ctit_symposium_2008/

Three prizes of Euro 500, Euro 250 and Euro 100 will be awarded by a jury consisting of some of our distinguished guests, chaired by

prof. Jaco van de Pol, for the three best poster presentations.

To take part in the contest PhD students should:

1) Submit a one page abstract three weeks in advance as a PDF file by email to Sandra (deadline Friday 23 May)

2) Present the poster during the symposium.

Please note! Each chair can submit one poster. In case your chair wants to submit more than one poster, please do not hesitate to contact the chair, prof. Jaco van de Pol

The evaluation criteria include the following:

a) The abstract and poster should make it crystal clear what the contribution is.

b) The contribution must be new.

c) The abstract and the poster must be attractive.

d) The contribution must show appreciation of work done by others.

e) Any work submitted to previous CTIT symposia is excluded.

Sandra Westhoff will be happy to help with the production process. If the official CTIT layout is used, 50% of the cost of printing and laminating or mounting the poster will be borne by CTIT. In case you want to join this poster session, please inform Sandra (mailto: office@ctit.utwente.nl) as soon as possible!

During the lunch, the jury will look at the posters. The prize will be awarded during the reception at the end of the day.

Looking forward to your reply,

Peter Apers

Scientific director of CTIT
